Culmstock is a village in East Devon roughly midway between Uffculme and Hemyock. It lies in the EX15 postcode district about 8 miles northeast of Cullompton. The village spans the River Culm, the two parts of the village joined by a narrow stone bridge. Formerly a centre for weaving and the wool trade the population of the village decreased markedly with the coming of the Industrial Revolution.
