Access and the Area

The location offers the feel of being close to nature while still having fast access to Canary Wharf, the City and central London via the Elizabeth line.

Access is via a side entrance to the main garden, leading to a back lane that runs alongside woodland, Abbey ruins and park, forming part of the Green Chain Walk. Along this side there is a lane of approximately 1m x 5m, which is convenient for storing a bicycle or similar.

The nearby Lesnes Abbey park and woodland has a basketball area and a cultural centre that hosts yoga sessions, community activities and a monthly market. There can be some general outdoor noise and music occasionally, mainly in warmer weather and busier times, but it is not constant. The area is excellent for jogs and walks, with routes through the woodland, along the Green Chain Walk, and jogging/cycling routes towards the River Thames with good access to Woolwich.

There are also good local amenities: A large Sainsbury's near Abbey Wood station and an M&S Foodhall just one stop away on the Elizabeth line, making everyday shopping very convenient. There is a local pub with lovely Pizzas.

Important note: The private path to the property can be muddy in wet weather and quite dark at night, so it will particularly suit someone who is comfortable with a more natural, less formal access route. It is about 3 minute walk. There is a flood light and CCTV system in place.
