Comment from Robert Reed of Gascoigne Halman
Detached family houses in Waverton priced between £550,000 and £600,000 are so rare to find. Indeed, at the time of writing (early August 2026) there is not one presently available to buy on the market. Fortunately the introduction of this fantastic home in St Georges Crescent in the heart of Waverton village is going to resolve the search for one fortunate buyer.
The location is excellent, being so central means the home benefits from being within walking distance of Waverton’s amenities, the local bus stops and for easy access to the walks along the canal. Chester City Centre is just 4.5 miles away. The house is within catchment for Waverton Primary School and Christleton Secondary School, both very highly regarded.
This has house has been radically transformed by the present owners in the last seven years so as to create bright, flexible and visually attractive accommodating that is ideally set up for family life. Quality has been embedded into all the works carried out with examples of such including a superb clean line kitchen with Bosch appliances, sliding doors linking the open plan living areas to the lovely rear garden and excellent décor and floor coverings throughout. It really is a best in class environment for a family.
At first floor level there are four bedrooms, all very equally sized. The main bedroom has an en suite whilst the three further bedrooms are served by a family bathroom. The very realistic asking price takes account of the fact that the en suite shower room and bathroom are the most obvious next spaces that have scope to be modernised and improved.
Externally there is a lovely garden to the rear which has a hedge boundary and provides great scope for al fresco dining, kicking around a football and those who are green fingered and enjoy gardening. To the left hand side of the house is a notably wide area providing scope for extra play space of for storage buildings / sheds whilst to the front there are two driveways that provide off road parking.
