Meta Description: Three/Four Bedroom Victorian House For Sale In Leytonstone
Offered to the market chain-free, this spacious Victorian home enjoys generous accommodation, period character and exciting potential to modernise and create a wonderful family home. Currently arranged as three/four bedrooms, the flexible layout offers buyers the opportunity to reconfigure the first floor to suit their lifestyle, while benefiting from two bathrooms, a private rear garden and an excellent Leytonstone location just moments from transport links and green open spaces.
Set along a quiet tree-lined residential street, the attractive late Victorian façade immediately creates a welcoming first impression, with its traditional London stock brickwork, decorative detailing and elegant bay window. A paved front garden provides a pleasant buffer from the road before the enclosed entrance porch leads into the welcoming hallway.
The spacious reception room sits to the front of the property, where the large bay window fills the room with natural light. A central chimney breast with alcoves to either side adds character, while an open arch subtly divides the room into two distinct living areas, offering flexibility for relaxing, entertaining or creating a reading or play area. A useful integrated storage shed is accessed from the rear of the room.
The separate dining room provides an excellent space for family meals and entertaining, retaining an original fireplace and offering plenty of room for a large dining table and additional furniture.
To the rear, the kitchen is fitted with a range of wall and base units, an integrated oven, hob and extractor, together with the washing machine and dishwasher, which will remain. Beyond, a practical utility area leads through to the ground floor shower room, creating useful additional facilities for busy family life.
The rear garden offers a patio leading onto a lawn bordered by established planting. While ready for some updating, it provides a fantastic opportunity to create an attractive outdoor space for entertaining, gardening or family enjoyment.
Upstairs, the property currently offers a flexible three/four bedroom arrangement. The spacious principal bedroom sits to the front of the house and benefits from dual windows and built-in wardrobes. A second generous double bedroom overlooks the rear garden and also includes fitted storage.
The remaining accommodation is currently configured as two interconnecting rooms leading to the family bathroom. Many neighbouring homes have been reconfigured to create a more conventional landing arrangement, and the layout here offers similar potential, subject to the purchaser’s requirements. Whether retained as four bedrooms, adapted to create three larger bedrooms, or reconfigured to enhance the circulation space, the flexibility of the first floor is a real asset. The family bathroom is fitted with a WC, pedestal wash basin and a large corner bath.
Perfectly positioned in the heart of Leytonstone, the property enjoys excellent access to everything the area has to offer. Leytonstone High Road and Leytonstone Underground Station are both within easy walking distance, providing excellent connections into Stratford, the City and Central London. A fantastic selection of cafés, restaurants, shops and everyday amenities can be found nearby, while well-regarded local schools add to the area’s appeal.
For lovers of the outdoors, Wanstead Flats is quite literally at the end of the road, offering acres of open green space to enjoy. Hackney Marshes, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Walthamstow Wetlands are also all within easy reach, making this an excellent location for both families and commuters alike.
Sellers comments
Ferndale Road has been our home for over 50 years and has served us perfectly, but the time has come for the next chapter. We appreciate that the garden does need some attention, but there are lots of fruit trees including apple, plum, apricot and peach. We do hope that the next family are as happy as we have been.
