Description
Milton of Ogil comprises a single, contiguous block of productive agricultural land extending to approximately 249 acres (100.7 hectares), dissected by one public road, with a comprehensive network of internal access tracks providing easy access to all fields.
The farm includes a principal farmhouse, two further residential dwellings and a comprehensive range of modern and traditional farm buildings, aswell as a reception and office block. Historically the farm was utilised as an animal sanctuary, with field shelters and water supplies throughout the holding.
Milton of Ogil Farmhouse
The principal farmhouse is a traditional two-storey dwelling with an extension to the rear. It enjoys a south facing position complemented by well-maintained gardens to the south framed by established hedging, with mature woodland to the north.
The property is currently uninhabitable, having suffered flood damage, and will require a comprehensive refurbishment. Once renovated, the farmhouse offers the potential to create a substantial family home in an attractive setting. Its position within the holding provides privacy while remaining centrally located for farm operations.
Cottage
The cottage is a single-storey, detached brick-built dwelling under a pitched slate roof. Accommodation comprises three bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen/living room and utility room.
The cottage is in need of refurbishment but offers the potential for useful ancillary accommodation, staff housing or short-term letting potential.
Chalet
The chalet is a detached, single-storey timber cabin with a composite tiled pitched roof. Internally it provides two bedrooms, WC, bathroom, kitchen and living room.
Similarly to the cottage the chalet provides additional flexible accommodation.
Farm Buildings
The range includes several modern general-purpose sheds with surrounding yard area, providing ample facility for machinery and livestock. A standalone straw shed is located to the north of the main steading, adjacent to the chalet.
The buildings benefit from good access, yard areas and proximity to the internal road network. They are well-suited to a range of agricultural purposes, having been previously used for equestrian purposes. Each structure is described in detail below, including approximate dimensions and construction specifications.
