The sellers view...
We moved into 56 Great Hill Crescent in 1965 when the house was just two years old. It was a lovely family home to grow up in and so close to our schools - I cycled to Maidenhead High School (now Newlands) everyday, and my brother attended Boyn Hill Infants, All Saints Juniors then Desborough Boys which were all walking or cycling distance. My mother taught at Altwood so she was able to walk there everyday. After a few years the shops were built in Wootton Way so less than five minutes walk away. St Edmund Campion Catholic primary school and church is next to Altwood school so also very close.
The long garden was great for my brother to ride his go-cart up and down, play football, cricket, and generally mess about (I was much older than him so had gone passed playing in the garden!).
We're only a few minutes away from two A404M junctions which keeps us well connected to the M4 and also to the M40. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to the railway station or to the town, and there is also a regular bus into town.
My Mum passed away in hospital many years ago but my Dad continued to live in the house until very recently when he became unwell and had to move into a care home. It's now time for a new family to live here and make it their home.
