Eydon is a rural conservation village located to the north east of Banbury and is catchment areas for both Culworth C of E Primary School and Chenderit School (Middleton Cheney). Much of Eydon was destroyed in 1651 by a fire which started in an ale house. Many of the fine ironstone buildings bear fire reddened marks. The Royal Oak public house has been serving ale since 1697. Commuting to London (Marylebone) by train is via Banbury or (Euston) via Milton Keynes. Access to the M40 (Junction 11) provides access to the M1, London & Birmingham as well as Birmingham & West Midlands airports.
