About this property
Roof terrace
Architect-designed and chain free two bedroom apartment with a Freehold-share. Find it within the (heavenly!) leafy Camberwell Grove Conservation Area. Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye stations are reached by foot in 10 and 12 minutes respectively.
Your new classy and immaculate home is delivered over two upper floors, with a generous and sunny south-facing roof terrace which is blessed with open verdant views. Swoon!
There is a shared front door; communal areas are pleasingly well-kept. Open your own front door at first floor level, and turn left for your open-plan reception room/dining room/kitchen (which runs over 35 feet front to back!). It is such a great entertaining arena (complete with working log burner and a guest loo, too), or just enjoy it to yourselves! Swish, custom-made fitted wall (to the ceiling) and base kitchen units and high-end integrated appliances are the order of the day. And you have underfloor heating throughout the whole property.
Your natural lounge area opens to your south-facing roof terrace. At the front of the property, when the sun goes down, you have your obvious dining area to the front of the building. Seat plenty of your favourite people here!
Up the stairs to the second floor, and you have two beautifully-proportioned double bedrooms, with the property’s luxury modern bathroom set in between.
What an excellent position to call home. Bellenden Road is a nine minute walk, and central Camberwell a similar distance, down gorgeous Camberwell Grove.
Peckham Rye and Denmark Hill stations (both Zone 2) are both local with regular and Windrush line services. London Bridge, London Victoria, Clapham Junction, Kings Cross St Pancras and Canary Wharf (via Canada Water), among other destinations, are all quickly reached.
A large Sainsbury’s store is close by on Dog Kennel Hill, by Dulwich Hamlet fc, and there’s also a M&S nearby on Grove Vale by East Dulwich Station (also Zone 2).
Lettsom Gardens is popular with locals. A nominal yearly membership will secure you a key. For further green space, local parks include Ruskin Park (with bandstand events in the summer), Warwick Gardens, Peckham Rye Park and Common and Dulwich Park.
Central Peckham is a gastronomic mecca! Check out Bellenden Road, Choumert Road, Rye Lane and Blenheim Grove for some top restaurants, bars and cafes (Artusi, Levan, Hausu, The Begging Bowl and Ganapati to name a few). Rye Lane gives you Peckham Levels and Bold Tendencies, and Frank's Bar and The Bussey Building's rooftop bars in the warmer months, plus Peckham Plex Cinema (films for £5.99).
South London Gallery is close as well, and Camberwell leisure centre has good classes and gym and swim facilities in a pretty Victorian setting. Toad bakery and Gladwell’s in Camberwell are great spots for luxury loaves, pastries and groceries (the latter has a Turner & George meat counter).
Local recommended places to eat and drink in SE5 include The Kerfield (newly-Michelin-starred), Theo's, The Camberwell Arms, The Bear, Silk Road, Veraison Wines, Nandine and Hermits Cave.
Little ones/thinking of? The Villa Nursery and Pre-Preparatory School is close (2-7). As are Lyndhurst, Dog Kennel Hill and The Belham primary schools. The Dulwich independent schools are also but a short drive.
