Location
Cobblestones is situated approximately 1.2 miles from Charmouth, a delightful village in a designated National Landscape, situated on the Jurassic coastline, a unesco World Heritage Site. The beach is renowned for its fossils, and a great attraction for both amateur and experienced hunters alike.
The village offers excellent amenities including newsagents/ general store, bakery, hairdresser, doctors surgery, chemist, library, restaurants and pubs.
Much of the surrounding countryside is in the control of the National Trust and there are an abundance of footpaths within easy access including the South West coastal path. To the north East lies the village of Whitchurch Cannonicorum which has an active community which Cobblestones benefits from.
The historic resort of Lyme Regis is just over three miles and provides sailing, fishing, many independent shops and a variety of pubs and restaurants.
Axminster is just over six miles away with a Tesco supermarket, weekly street market and a further variety of independent shops and restaurants and a mainline railway station to London Waterloo.
The vibrant nearby town of Bridport has an excellent variety of shops, both national chains and independents, several supermarkets including a Waitrose, a popular annual Literary Festival and the quirky hat festival, a most successful twice weekly market and the Electric Palace theatre. The larger city of Exeter lies circa 32 miles away, with an international airport and large range of additional facilities.
