Location:

London Road is superbly placed for access to the Oxford hospitals, Brookes University and the City Centre, with regular buses and London coach services close by. Headington’s amenities are within easy reach, offering an excellent selection of shops, cafés, restaurants and everyday services, alongside green spaces such as South Park overlooking the Spires of Oxford and Shotover Country Park. The A40/M40 and Oxford Parkway Rail Station are also readily accessible, supporting straightforward travel to London and beyond.

In The Owners Own Words:

Having lived here for a number of years, this has been a fantastic home for our family. Its location is incredibly convenient – just a short walk from the John Radcliffe Hospital and with the Oxford Tube stopping nearby, making day-to-day life and commuting into London very easy. The house itself is bright, spacious and practical, with plenty of storage (the cellar has been especially useful over the years), off-street parking, a garage, and a private, gated feel which we really valued.

We have recently carried out a full refurbishment, including a new kitchen and bathroom, a new boiler, and a complete re-roof using the original tiles, giving peace of mind for years to come. The garden is a great size – easy to maintain but perfect for relaxing or enjoying barbecues in the evenings. It also sits within a well-regarded school catchment area, which was important to us when we were planning to stay longer. We’ve also really enjoyed being so close to Headington itself, with plenty of great places to eat or grab lunch, especially when working from home. Being able to walk to the local parks was another highlight, with excellent playgrounds, tennis courts and even crazy golf, making it a great place for children to grow up. The proximity to Oxford Brookes University also adds to the appeal, whether for family use in the future or as a potential source of income.

While we’ve always felt it works best as a family home, it has also previously been used as a compliant HMO, offering flexibility for those considering it as an investment. As we now move abroad, it’s time for us to say goodbye to a home that has meant a great deal to us, and we hope it will bring just as much enjoyment to its next owners, whether for its excellent schools, proximity to the jr Hospital, or easy access into London.
