Location

Description
The site currently comprises is in 3 sections Block A is an open grassed field extending to approximately 11.8 acres sts. To the north is a scaffolding yard, immediately to the south is an area of woodland, beyond which is a recent development carried out by Abbey Developments (see second photo).

Block B is predominantly woodland but there is an open field to the north of the block with the benefit of rights of way across the adjoining open space.

Block C, directly fronts and is currently woodland.

Planning
Braintree have recently adopted their local plan and has a 5 year housing land supply. Despite current compliance, the council acknowledges the need to plan for future growth. The government has set an ambitious target of 1,115 new homes per year for the district to meet national housing needs, necessitating the allocation of new land for development, given recent development on adjacent land we do consider that there is development potential for the site in the short to medium term.
